We have created daily chances to win during the Festival.
Here's the scoop:

Banner Patrol
Each night the Chattanooga Classic banner will be placed at a different location around the site, among our other sponsor banners. Simply look for the banner and then go to the facebook page designated for the night, and post the exact location. We will enter all of the fan names into a drawing for the nightly prize. You will need to be a fan of the page where the "Find the Banner" post is published. Pages will include, the Chattanooga Classic, Friends of the Festival, Riverfront Nights,  or the facebook page for all future Riverbend Festivals. Follow the links to become a fan.

The Chattanooga Classic is managed by the Friends of the Festival and is one of the top three PGA Nationwide Tour events each year. This year, the Classic will be held October 4-10th. Your 2010 Riverbend Festival admission pin gets you into the Classic for free.

Random Acts of Trivia
It may be summer, but you will have to do your homework! Every day before the Festival, a question will be posted on our facebook page that revolves around one of our sponsors. Go to that sponsor's website and find the answer and then be ready to answer the question when you come to the Festival. Each night, a team from Friends of the Festival will be out in a designated vicinity. The Trivia Patrol will randomly ask people if they know the answer. If a correct answer is given, then you will be given a numbered vintage Riverbend pin. Meet up with us later in the night at the designated sponsor's tent where we will draw for the night's prize. You can win box seats for the night, vintage posters, collector's pins, or other great prizes. Don't forget to check our facebook page each day before coming down!

Meet the 2010 Riverbend Festival Interns

The Riverbend Festival is proud to have a great crew of interns to help us produce the Festival this year. The staff of Friends of the Festival works year round to create the best festival experience for the nearly 600,000 people attending each year. We offer the opportunity for college juniors and seniors to fulfill their internship hours with us. We have openings for (but no limited to) Communications/Marketing/PR majors, Business majors and Advertising Arts majors. Interns are needed year-round and the hours are flexible.

Many of our past interns have moved on to career positions through contacts made during their internships with Friends of the Festival. The best description of the Friends of the Festival Intern Experience is “interning at Friends of the Festival is the hardest work you will ever love”.

Here's a little about our intern staff, in their own words.

2010 Riverbend Festival Interns:

Casey

I am currently a senior Communications student at University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. I couldn’t be more excited to be graduating in August and starting a career in Public Relations or Marketing.Naturally, I chose Friends of the Festival’s Public Relations department to intern with because I have been an avid Riverbend goer for the past 15 years and I love to interact with people. In my free time, I can be found boating with my friends or supporting Chattanooga’s local music scene. I’m so excited about what Riverbend has in store for Chattanooga this summer!

Megan

I am a senior at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, majoring in Communication and minoring in Spanish. I am from Chickamauga, GA. I want to complete this internship in order to gain experience in the field of Public Relations, and I feel that interning with Friends of the Festival is a great way to incorporate public relations with event planning.

Whitney

My interest in Riverbend for the past 11 years drew me to become an intern for the Festival. I only have one semester left at Georgetown College in Georgetown, KY where I play volleyball. I am a Business Administration major with a focus on Marketing and I minor in Sociology. Photography is one of my biggest passions, as well as animals since I have about eight, and boating on the Tennessee River. I was born in NC but now reside in Ooltewah, TN where I have lived with my parents and brother for the past 12 years. I’m really looking forward to the Riverbend Festival beginning this year!

Jama

As a recent graduate from the DeVos Sport Business Management Program at the University of Central Florida, I am blessed to be back in the Volunteer State with the opportunity to intern at Friends of the Festival. Participating in the behind the scenes planning of one of the Southeast’s biggest events has been such a great learning experience already. My education and past internships have given me a love for event planning and marketing. However, the staff at Friends of the Festival, ensure that I continue to grow my knowledge in this area everyday to prepare me for a healthy career in the future. Like many, Riverbend has been a part of my summertime fun for many years, but I am excited to see it in a new light this June!

When you think of the music industry, you think of Nashville. Now when you think of Nashville, you think of the devastation left behind by the historic floods. The Riverbend Festival is deeply connected with the musicians, songwriters, and all involved in our festival each year. As we are putting the finishing touches on the 2010 Riverbend Festival, you can show your appreciation for the music, songwriters, and artists that you enjoy daily by making a donation to the flood relief.
